Jacob's Well is in Samaria where Jesus rested on his journey from Judea to Galilee. It was at this well that Jesus encountered the Samaritan woman whom he asked for a drink of water. As their conversation continued Jesus offered her the living water and said "your people worship what you do not understand; we worship what we understand (John 4:22)
